foobar Agency officially opened its new location today: the historic Kesselhaus at Triebwerk in Munich-Neuaubing, an industrial building over 115 years old located in the western part of the city. Spanning three floors plus a basement, this marks the beginning of the next phase in the agency’s history, which began in 2015 in much smaller offices.
The move is a result of steady growth over the past few years. The new space is designed for an open-plan work environment and intentionally leaves room for expansion in the coming years. The floors feature meeting rooms, a quiet room, an open kitchen, open-plan workspaces, and phone booths. A foosball table is available in the basement.
The heart of the building is the “Arena”—a seating area designed like a grandstand with a screen, which serves as a stage for lectures, workshops, and group movie nights. It is precisely this blend of focus and interaction that defines the Kesselhaus: a workplace that is also a venue for clients, partners, and collaborators.
Employees, partners, and friends of the agency gathered at the Kesselhaus for the grand opening. The day began with a Bavarian breakfast, followed by a tour of the building and team-building activities. In the evening, the group moved out to the terrace for a barbecue that lasted well into the summer night.
“The Kesselhaus is more than just a new office—it’s the space where the next phase of our story will unfold,” says Matthias Dietrich, founder and managing director of foobar Agency. “Taking on a building with such a rich history is also a responsibility. We’re happy to shoulder it.”
