First Place at the E-Commerce Germany Award 2024 — foobar Agency Wins the Agency Category

foobar Agency has been awarded first place at the E-Commerce Germany Award 2024 in the Agency Showcase category. A panel of 30 e-commerce experts made the selection, supplemented by over 22,000 votes from the industry—from more than 2,500 submissions across twelve categories.

The E-Commerce Germany Award is considered one of the most established industry awards in German-speaking e-commerce. The Agency Showcase category is specifically aimed at agencies that impress with proven client projects and a clear technological profile.

The competition entry focused on the multi-brand storefront for porta Möbel—a replatforming project implemented in collaboration with the client on a MACH architecture using commercetools, Contentful, and Algolia. The platform has significantly reduced both the client’s development and operating costs and has made porta Möbel much more visible in the online furniture retail sector.

For foobar Agency, the award is a confirmation of its consistent focus on Composable Commerce. The Munich-based agency has relied on MACH architectures and deep integration with platforms such as commercetools, Contentful, and Algolia for years—an approach that is not yet the standard in the DACH market.
