From Collaboration to Partnership: foobar Agency and Snowflake Seal Their Partnership

Years of collaboration have led to an official partnership: As of today, foobar Agency is a member of the Snowflake Partner Network. The Munich-based agency has been building Snowflake-based data architectures for commerce and industrial companies for years—this new status now formalizes what has long been a reality in their day-to-day operations.

foobar Agency has been using Snowflake as the central data platform in client projects for several years—from initial data modeling with dbt through deterministic calculations to probabilistic AI predictions such as customer lifetime value, churn indicators, and next-best-action recommendations. One reference project is the RFM-based CLV prediction for Home Shopping Europe (HSE), in which deterministic calculations and AI predictions were combined within a shared Snowflake architecture.

foobar Agency does not carry out data projects exclusively in conjunction with commerce architectures. Standalone Snowflake initiatives for B2B sales, service analytics, forecasting, and after-sales for industrial clients are also part of the portfolio—even in cases where the commerce stack remains unchanged or is not the focus of the project at all. The integration of commerce and data remains the agency’s specialty, but it is not a prerequisite: Snowflake projects are also set up as pure data mandates.

With the official partnership, foobar Agency gains direct access to Snowflake’s technical programs, certifications, and roadmap information. For clients, this means a faster path to new data capabilities as well as closer coordination on platform-related architectural decisions.

The partnership fits into the agency’s integrated offering as an enhancement of the data layer. In conjunction with commerce projects, Snowflake, together with commercetools, forms the architectural foundation—embedded in a composable architecture with complementary partner solutions for content, search, and discovery. In pure data projects, Snowflake stands alone at the center.

For us, Snowflake is not a downstream reporting tool, but an integral part of the platform on which our clients run commerce and data together,” says Philipp Krueger, Co-CEO of foobar Agency. “The official partnership gives our projects a direct line to the Snowflake roadmap—this benefits clients who want to scale their data strategy above all.

"Data-driven work pays off for companies in two ways—in terms of costs and revenue," says Dominik Thalmeier, Team Lead Data Science at foobar Agency. "Specifically, this means, for example: more accurate provisions, more precise forecasts, and more efficient marketing spending on the cost side—and CLV-based customer engagement and highly targeted personalization on the revenue side. With the official Snowflake partnership, we’re able to leverage these opportunities more quickly in client projects."
